Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a medical lab technologist diploma course, Medical Laboratory Technology is the branch of medical science responsible for performing the laboratory investigation relating to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. The main subject to be covered during the first and second of this course are the same as for the degree course. Within completion of two year of the given course, the candidates after undergoing requisite course module, Diploma will be awarded and also have an option to continue if desired. The degree course within the requisite time schedule as mentioned in the course. A Medical/O.T Assistant is an allied health professional that supports the work of physicians and other health professionals, usually in a clinic setting. O.T Assistants can become certified through an accredited program usually offered through a junior or community college. They perform routine tasks and procedures such as measuring patient's vital sign, administering medications and injections, recording information in medical record keeping systems, preparing and handling medical instruments and supplies and collecting and preparing specimens of the body fluids and tissues for laboratory testing. O.T Assistant practices medicines and perform surgical procedures in collaboration with a physician.
